Welcome to tailor made itineraries of forest rest house at Corbett National Park. As per corbett park authority instructions continuously one can stay from 1 night to 03 nights in any zone of Corbett National Park so guest cannot stay more than 03 nights at Gairal forest rest house at Corbett National Park. In case guest are planning for more than 03 nights stay at Corbett Park they have to plan their stay in two different zones.

Overview

This itinerary gives opportunity to stay for 02 nights 03 days at Gairal Forest Rest House in Dhikala zone in Jim orbett National Park. During this stay one can do four jeep safari of Dhikala zone. As per preference we can pick guest from any resort near Ramnagar where guest stayed last night or offer pick up facility from Ramnagar Railway Station. We can also do pick up from Delhi/Haridwar/Dehradun as per guest requirement.

Day 1: Dhikala- Corbett National Park

Meet and greet by driver. Our driver and jeep will accompany you for next three days. After this brief introduction board jeep from their desired point of pick up. Normally guest choose any below pick up point.

Resort near Ramnagar: If guest have stayed last night at any resort near Ramnagar or after Gairal itinerary planning to stay at resort pick up and drop can be facilitated to that resort.

Ramnagar Bus Stop: If guest are coming by their private vehicle or cab or by bus then pick up can be done from desired point at Ramnagar.

Ramnagar railway station: If guest are reaching early morning by train at Ramnagar there is a nominal charge of Rs.2000 per jeep which comes extra and in return of this extra charges a morning early entry jeep safari get added in itinerary.

Your jeep will take a stopover at Dhangarghi gate(entry gate of dhikala ) where ID card of guest are cross checked with id detail mentioned in permit. After this verification start your journey where journey is more beautiful than destination. Your 4x4 jeep will pass through dense forest, river bed and many more jungle attractions. After this more than one hour journey reach to Gairal Forest Rest House. By 11:00am check in your rooms. Have lunch at Gairal forest rest house and after lunch board jeep for jeep safari of dhikala zone. This safari will last for around 04 hours. As in winter and summers sunset timings changes so starting and ending time of jeep safari also changes accordingly. Irrespective of season by dusk time all jeeps return to their respective rest house. After safari come back to rest house. Have dinner and post dinner enjoy sleep in silence of Jungle.

Day 2: Dhikala- Corbett National Park

Early morning, chirping of birds and vista of jungle may appeal you to leave your bed otherwise wakeup call on your door will sure. Take a walk in forest compound in morning and capture the glance of the colourful birds on trees. This internet and phone free morning will help you to reconnect your body and mind with nature and subsequently rejuvenate your senses. After tea board jeep for first morning jeep safari of Dhikala.

Dhikala zone is largest safari zone of Jim Corbett National Park with largest flood plains of Ramganga river. In summer hundreds of elephant come on these plains. In summers one can witness, elephants taking mud bath, Mast elephants if lucky one can also hear different sound these elephants produce to communicate with each other in their group.

Elephants exhibits very complex behaviours they have largest brain size in all mammals and are very intelligent.

During safari 4x 4 jeep safari jeep passes through the green canopy, made by towering sall trees on both side of safari route and on other times jeep will cross the river beds, grass land. This versatile picturesque landscape is speciality of Dhikala which is unmatched when compared with other tiger reserves of India.

After morning jeep safari return to Gairal forest rest house. Have breakfast at rest house. After breakfast relax till lunch at rest house then proceed for afternoon jeep safari ( also called evening safari).After safari return to Gairal rest house. At night it is not suggested to walk around in forest campus as there is no street light at rest house and animals have much better sensitivity of organs compared to humans. After dinner enjoy this well earned sleep.

Day 3: Depart Dhikala- Corbett National Park

Early morning start for morning jeep safari in the grasslands of Dhikala, Corbett national park. After breakfast move out of jungle via Dhangari gate. On the way visit crocodile point and high bank. From here one can have view of crocodile basking in Ramganga river, Big fishes in Ramganga river and if lucky one can capture perfect shots of big Cat near Ramganga. Take exit from Dhangarghi gate. Drop at Ramnagar. Depart with sweet memories of the tour of Corbett National Park

Booking procedure

• Validity of Rates: 15th November 16 to 15th June17
• Refund policies: No refund on cancellation
• Bookings preferably to be made at least 60 days prior to date of arrival.
• Check in time – 12:00 noon, Check out time – 10:00 am (For the forest rest house)
• Accommodation / Electricity / Water supply / Housekeeping / other services are provided by forest department. We do not hold any responsibility in case any of the above is not up to the mark. We are just tour operators and enhance booking procedure for the rest house.
• In case of early check in and late check out, rooms will be provided as per the check in and checkout timings of forest department mentioned above. Only the additional safari and permissions are a part of it.
• In case of non availability of rooms, 100% refund would be provided which will be intimated 45 days in advance to travel date
• Children above 11 years would be treated as adults and child
• Tour starts and ends at Ramnagar (Corbett tiger reserve office)
